CARI ROSMARIN-LEHMAN
Cari
Rosmarin-Lehman received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from SUNY Buffalo in 1976
and a Master of Fine Arts from Hunter College in 1985. Her work has appeared
in the collections of Reader's Digest Corporation; A.T.&T.; Prudential
Life Insurance Co. of Newark, New Jersey; New York City Health & Hospitals
Corporation; Best Products, Inc.; and various private collections.
"Rosemarin has developed a distinctive way of seeing, of building images capable of transforming reality into provocative images. The emphatic, almost stylized outlining of forms endows her work with a psychic presence, intensified by the artist's preference for strong and exotic colors." - Ronnie Cohen.
Cari Rosmarin-Lehman says of her work, "My sources of inspiration include deserts, oceans, mountains, cities, architectural monuments, plants, textile and other patterns from different cultures, and all types of things that surround me in everyday life. The work on paper is mixed media, including monoprinting, watercolor, colored pencil, acrylic paint and pastel. The large paintings are oil on canvas.
