In 1952, on a trip to Maine with Edgar Whitney and several established artists to paint watercolor, I met Rosalyn Stern. Six months later we were married. We traveled to Mexico, Canada, Italy, France, and Spain. We have two children, now grown: daughter, Carol and son, David. Rosalyn died in 1983... I miss her very much.
I have been a painting instructor at three New York City art schools: Art Career School, The Master Institute, and Pratt Institute. In addition to having always had private students in my New York studio, Rosalyn and I built and operated a summer art school in Provincetown, MA from 1955 to l972.
I have been a guest instructor in oil and watercolor painting in West Virginia, Texas, California, New Mexico, Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey. My influences have been works by Pablo Picasso, Willy Friedlander, and George McNeil. At present, I continue to exhibit my work and paint five or six days a week.
