Artist Statement:

Without seeing, hearing, touching, smelling, and tasting I wouldn't be who I am. Also, thank you to my lungs and heart. Oh and a big hello to my spleen, kidneys, and stomach. No artist is complete without them. Oops, sorry, must remember the upclose and personals - mind, soul and brain. You guys are the wings beneath my breath. Eyes…can’t forget the eyes. Fingers, too.

Bio: 

A prolific composer and studio and band musician, Julian Maile is also a photographer of the life behind the music, especially in the clubs of NYC.

Besides performing with his own group Spray Paint Star, Julian has played with an embarrasment of riches, a smorgasborg of theater and music artists: Colin Blunstone (Zombies), Rene Risque, Moby, Milk N Cookies, Moi?, Jack Black, Michael Cerveris... plus appearences on Jay Leno, Carson Daly, and Comedy Central... producing world-famous competitive eater/rapper Eric "Badlands" Booker... He played Shkep in the original stage production of Hedwig and the Angry Inch. He is a long time member of the acclaimed Loser's Lounge Band, toured extensively, and has appeared in numerous NYC clubs including the Time Warner Allen Room, Joe’s Pub, Mercury Lounge. Look for him on Losers Lounge cd’s.
